When the world's largest contract electronics manufacturer Solectron abruptly ceased its operations in Australia in 2001, Atlinks, a major supplier to Australia's leading telco, Telstra, turned to GPC Electronics to pick up the pieces.

Over 10 years of experience under the relentless scrutiny of tough international customers such as Nortel and Toshiba meant GPC knew exactly what to do.

By December 1, 2001, Atlinks had placed its contract for the manufacture and refurbishment of six models of Telstra TouchFones with GPC.

Just six weeks later GPC began shipping volume orders.
